Reading is of course a passion of mine. (and acting) Before I buy any book or reading material, I go to a website where I can read an excerpt of the book I plan to buy. If the book catches my attention in the first few pages, then to me it's a must reader.
The story, behind these books aren't so good though. Early 2008, Twilight was released. My friend Jenna came to English class with the book and she was essatic about it and ranting on about how weird and extraordinary the book was, because it was something so different.
I asked her what the book entailed. She told me it was about vampires. Now that's when I stopped her, and told her this is not something I want to read or hear about.
When I read the first page of the book, I was not interested because it was a girl narrating about her mother and Phil taking her to the airport to go live with her father in Washington. My first thought reading the book was, 'I hope she don't think I'm liking this shit.' I've been to Forks, Washington before and I do agree that it is quote, "the wettest place in the continental US." unquote.
Then the matter of me reading the books were never bought up again. So a few weeks later I went online to search and get a legit description about the book. I thought to myself, I know it's not just about vampires I want to know whats going on with the vampires and why this klutz of a girl is moving to live with her father in the most boring place of the US.
I searched and I read further on the Barnes and Noble website. I think they let you read like five or six pages of the book, and when I found out what it was about I went to read it. I must say, I really did enjoy it. The way Stephenie writes from Bella's perspective makes you feel like you're actually in the story, you're actually that girl who's so young and naive and wonders what it's like to fall in love the first time. It even makes you think a little, and this is from a females POV.
My favorite book is Breaking Dawn, although I've read Twilight like five times. Out of all the books I think New Moon is my least favorite book, which is weird because it's my favorite Twilight Saga movie. (No this is not because you get to see more of Jacob. TEAM EDWARD FAN sorry) But I like reading things that I can pick up and get caught up in and feel like I'm in the world of the story being told and never wanting to put it down. Trust me, once you read these books they are hard to put down. It has also been said that these books and DVDs are still bestsellers everywhere. (Of course except Europe LOL..insider if you saw the new moon interview of Kristen, Taylor and Rob on Jimmy Kimmel)
